We believe all dogs deserve a second chance. At MPR, we have been supporting several dogs we refer to as our unicorns. Like the mythical unicorn, we consider these dogs as rare and beautiful beings. These deserving pups have been with us for an extended period of months to years.  At some point, all these dogs were failed by people; neglected, abandoned, and surrendered, they all come with some known history and mostly unknown history that contributed to who they were.  They had exhibited behavioral issues, insecurities, stressors, and reactivity. They have now been through an extensive rehabilitative program with training through Balanced Paws and are ready for a home where they can continue in the next chapter where they thrive and receive structure and support. Because of their unique history, we need to find them special homes with committed owners (adults only)  who are willing to give these dogs a chance to flourish. We know finding a superhero home is a challenging ask, but this is truly a lifesaving adoption.  We pledge to a continued training program for the adopter and pup for monitored and guided success.
