Pet Food Assistance Program
IN NEED OF PET FOOD?
Join Our Kibble Wagon! Apply For Our Pet Food Assistance Program!
We at MarrVelous Pet Rescues know the challenges being faced by so many in our island community. Loss of income has put extraordinary hardships on so many and we want to be there to help you keep your beloved pets during these challenging times. MarrVelous Pet Rescues has established a Pet Food Relief program to help provide food for your furry family. We will be working with Keys Kritters and Whiskers and Paws to get pet food to those in need right now. We ask that you complete a request form with necessary details to be added to our food wagon. Volunteers will be delivering to your door, there will be no human interaction at time of delivery to assure the safety of our volunteers and you. We will get through this together, we hope that this aid will make a difference in keeping your pets. If you are in a position and want to help, please reach out today, we are asking for monetary donations to sponsor pet food versus buying and dropping off food to us. It is easier and safer for us to coordinate purchasing, picking up and distributing specific consistent pet foods in a controlled environment.

The puppies will be available for adoption in a few weeks!
~Week 3 of puppy life. Just look at them!!! Eyes are open, starting to walk around and Mama Isla is the best. Their loving family came up with some great names and are enjoying every second of heir time together
We have some news to share, our followers will remember we recently took in a sweet Beagle mix, Buttons (now known as Isla). Isla went to a wonderful family to foster to adopt in Key West. She was getting lots of love, attention and good food. The fosters were happy to see her putting on weight (ahem). Fast forward Isla’s spay appointment is days away and they send us a photo of the recent weight gain captioned could she be pregnant? Little did we know that Isla had a secret when she came to us, she had several buns in the oven. A big thanks to the incredible help of our friends at the Florida Keys SPCA we received confirmation from their doctor that puppies were eminent, and our fosters made the big commitment by saying we love our Isla and can do this! The SPCA has some wonderful experienced fosters who shared advice for our Marrvelous family on birthing and fostering with a Momma dog and puppy births. Isla already loved them so being home with her family was comforting to her and we were happy they made this decision. We have been anxiously awaiting over the past few days and drum roll please…… we are happy to report, Isla gave birth, we welcome 8 puppies to the Marrvelous Pack, 7 boys and 1 girl. Although we are happy everyone is doing well we cannot emphasize enough the importance of SPAY & NEUTER for your pets. Shelters and Rescues are full with dogs and puppies no longer wanted, abandoned, surrendered and worse. If Isla would have remained on the streets before a rescuer took her in, who knows what the fate of those puppies would be, and the cycle of more litters. Now we have 8 more pups added to the MPR pack and they could not be cuter. It will be our endeavor and duty to Isla to find them all awesome homes that understand the 15 year commitment to a puppy, the importance of training, and well of course love of their furry family member. They will be with their mom and not available for adoption quite some time. If you would like to help support Isla and her puppies with some of the necessities every new mom and puppy need, please consider visiting the link to her Puppy Registry on Amazon at https://smile.amazon.com/…/marrvelouspetr…/29AORAUN910BE If you can help with donations for the vetting and care of the pups that is greatly appreciated as well. They will all need vet exams, deworming, several rounds of shots, 2 spay, 7 neuters, micro chipping and other supplies! Once again we thank all our Marrvelous Supporters and Pack, you are why we can do what we do!
Please apply to foster or adopt them today.

Bruce Yanda: Unsung Hero of the Year
This year, MarrVelous is honoring Mr. Bruce Yanda for his extraordinary efforts to help animals in need, including fostering, adopting special needs pets, walking boarded pets, transporting and rescue petworking. (Foster failing 3 times) Additionally, each year the rescue is blessed with an original piece of Bruce’s art for our annual “Spayghetti & No Balls” Gala to help with fundraising for the animals in our care.
